The Council

The community is administered by Ditton Priors Parish council and unitary authority Shropshire Council. The Parish includes the hamlets of Middleton Priors, Derrington, Ruthall, Upper and Lower Netchwood and Ashfield, with a total of 5000 hectares and a current population of about 650 with around 300 dwellings.

Ditton Priors Parish Council manages a small thriving allotment site with 8 plots.  A waiting list is always open for applications.  The LED street lights around the village of Ditton Priors belong and are managed by the Parish Council.   

The Parish Council also makes comments on all planning applications within the parish.  

The Parish Council meets every second Thursday in the small hall of the village hall.  7.30pm.  Meetings are open to the public but are not a public meeting.
